What makes Treatos Box different from other pet treat companies? 

Treatos Box is Canada’s only natural pet treat subscription service. We source exclusively from Alberta farms, all provincially and/or federally inspected, providing premium ingredients. Every treato includes complete farm-to-bowl traceability via a QR code linking to the specific farm and processing details. Because our treats are naturally preserved locally in Alberta, the nutrients stay locked in fresh even when shipped across Canada. Locally made, traceable, and supporting Canadian agriculture.

 

What's the difference between the Dog Box, Cat Box, and Bitesize Box?

Dog Box: 6 bags of varied treats and chews, customized by size and preferences based on seasonal availability.

Cat Box: 4 bags of soft, feline-appropriate treats with no bones or hard chews.

Bitesize Box: 4 smaller bags of treats, suitable for all pets and sizes.

Family Box: 6 large bags of varied treats and chews for multi-pet households with both dog and/or cat treats, customized for your pets.

How much does a subscription cost?

Pricing varies by box type. Free shipping is included on all subscription orders and on one-time orders over $100 (pre-tax). Visit our subscription page for current pricing. We often have promotions for new subscribers, including $20 off with referral codes.

What types of treats are included in each box?

Each box contains a curated selection of premium quality, Alberta farm sourced single-ingredient treats and/or chews. We focus on variety, with treats chosen specifically for your pet type and preferences.

How does the subscription work?

Choose your box, customize your preferences, and subscribe. We ship in scheduled batches each month — order by the 12th and it ships the 15th, by the 24th and it ships the 27th, or after the 24th and it ships the 15th of the following month. If your preferences change, email us with updates before your next billing date to have them applied.

When will I be charged for my subscription?

Subscription billing occurs automatically each month on the day you started your subscription.

What if my payment fails? 

Failed payments may result in temporary suspension or cancellation of your subscription. Please keep your payment information up to date.

Can I pause my subscription temporarily?

Yes! You can manage, pause, or skip your subscription at any time. However, changes must be submitted before your next billing date to affect that month's shipment.

How do I cancel my subscription?
  • Month-to-Month: You can cancel anytime before your next billing date on your customer portal.
  • 6- or 12-Month Plan: To cancel your subscription, email us at help@treatosbox.com. You will continue to receive and be billed for Treatos Boxes until the end of your subscription term. After that, your plan will automatically renew month-to-month unless cancelled before your next billing date.
I moved, how can I change my delivery address?

To avoid delivery issues, ensure your address is up to date in your account. Notify us of address changes before your next billing date. If not, collect the package from the original address.

Products & Ingredients

Where do your ingredients come from?

Single-ingredient, no fillers, sourced directly from Alberta farms. We partner with small, regenerative farms practicing sustainable agriculture, all provincially and/or federally inspected. Each treat is naturally preserved using methods like freeze-drying or air-drying to lock in nutrients and freshness. Every treat includes a QR code linking to detailed farm information and processing notes for full farm-to-bowl transparency.

What does “naturally preserved” mean?

Our treats are preserved without artificial additives, chemicals, or preservatives. We use methods like freeze-drying and air-drying right here in Alberta to lock in nutrients, flavor, and freshness. This way, your pet gets treats that are safe, healthy, and retain the natural goodness of the ingredients. Processing takes 48-150 hours depending on the treat type to maintain maximum nutrition.

Are your treats safe for pets with allergies?

Yes! All treats are single-ingredient with complete transparency. This makes them perfect for elimination diets and pets with food sensitivities. You can easily customize your box with allergies/preferences on the product page.

Are treats suitable for both dogs and cats?

Most treats work for both, but we have species-specific boxes. Cat boxes contain only soft treats appropriate for feline anatomy and nutrition needs. Dog boxes include varied textures including bones and hard chews.

What if my pet doesn't like a treat?

We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If your pet doesn't love something, contact us and we'll provide replacements or credits for future boxes. Your pet's happiness is our priority. Refer to our Refund Policy for more information.

Can humans eat these treats?

No, treats are intended for pets only. Although our ingredients are sourced from provincially and/or federally inspected Alberta farms, human consumption is not advised.

Shipping & Delivery

Is shipping really free?

Free shipping is included on all subscription orders across Canada. For one-time orders, free shipping applies when you spend $100 or more (pre-tax). We do not ship internationally. Refer to our Shipping Policy for complete information.

How are treats kept fresh during shipping?

All treatos are shelf-stable through our natural preservation methods.

When will my box ship?

We ship in scheduled batches each month to ensure peak freshness. Order by the 12th and it ships the 15th, by the 24th and it ships the 27th, or after the 24th and it ships the 15th of the following month. You'll receive tracking updates so you know when it's coming.

When will my box arrive?

Estimated delivery times vary by location:

  • Calgary: 2–3 business days
  • Other regions in Alberta: 3–5 business days
  • Rest of Canada: 5–7 business days

We ship with Chit Chats. You will receive a tracking number.

What if my box is lost or stolen?

Once we transfer a package to the carrier, risk of loss passes to you. Claims for lost or damaged packages must be filed with the carrier (e.g., Chit Chats). We'll provide tracking information via email. If your package appears lost, please contact us at help@treatosbox.com and we will file a lost package investigation on our end to assist.

What's your return policy if my pet doesn't like the treats?

We offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. You have 30 days from delivery to request a return. Please refer to our Return policy for more information.

What if my pet refuses all treats?

If your pet refuses all treats but at least 99% of the bag contents remain, we'll issue a refund once we receive the returned items. Refer to our Return Policy

How do returns work if my pet didn't like some treats?

Return the unused portion of the bags and email us which treats they didn't enjoy. We'll use that feedback to update your preferences and add extra or replacement treats your pet loved to your next box. Refer to our Return Policy

Account Management

How do I access my account?

Log in through the 'Account' link on our website. Your account shows order history, upcoming deliveries, payment methods, and subscription preferences.

Can I update my pet's information?

Please email us with any updates to your pet's profile before your next billing date. We will update your information and adjust your upcoming box accordingly.

How do I update my payment method?

Update payment information anytime through your account. Changes take effect on your next billing cycle. We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and digital wallets.

How do I start a return?

Before initiating a return, please review our Return Policy. To start a return, email us at returns@treatosbox.com with the subject line: "RETURNS: [Order Number]." Include as many details as possible and attach photos if applicable.

Safety & Health

Do I need to supervise my pet with these treats/chews?

You must supervise your pet when enjoying treats/chews. Never leave pets unattended, and remove once they become small enough to swallow whole. By purchasing, you confirm that you have read and agree to our Terms and Conditions and Safe Chewing Guidelines.

Are these treats suitable for puppies and senior pets?

Soft treats are generally suitable for pets of all ages. Hard chews and bones are not recommended for puppies under 6 months or senior pets with dental issues. Please consult your veterinarian and customize your box accordingly.

How much should I feed my pet?

Treats should not exceed 10% of your pet's daily caloric intake. Our Feeding Guide provides specific recommendations by pet size and treat type. Each box is designed as a monthly supplement, not daily meals.

What if my pet has an adverse reaction?

Discontinue the treat immediately and consult your veterinarian. Contact us to report the reaction. This helps us maintain quality and safety standards. We maintain detailed batch records for full traceability. Treatos Box is not liable for adverse reactions; all pet care and supervision remain the responsibility of the owner.
